The association of Georgian epidemiologists and the infection control specialists is non-enterprising (noncommercial) legal person, which was registered on the 18^th December of 2015 by LEPL National Agency of Public Registry.

,,Georgian Association for Professionals in Infection Control and Epidemiology ‘’ . The short version ,,GAPINCE’’.

There are united about 100 members in the organization among them are hospital epidemiologists from different regions of the country, the specialists of Ministry of Labour Health and Social Affairs of Georgia, TSMU epidemiologists and the professoriates of the department of biostatistics, NCDC and the epidemiologists, clinicians of the cities contagious diseases surveillance municipal center.

The founders of Georgia’s epidemiologists and infection control specialist association are the following:

• Lia Janashvili– the president of the association, pediatric-sepsisology, the manager of  the quality and  infection control;
• Tinatin Gabrichidze – the hospital epidemiologist; the teacher of the departments of TSMU epidemiologists and biostatistics, the manager of Health Care System, the manager of the environmental protection;
• Ekaterine Peradze – an epidemiologist, the cities contagious diseases surveillance municipal center.

• The provision of  the safety of the population of Georgia due to the promotion and development of the modern type  of the medical system service,  the most important and the basic part-the occupation of epidemiologic, the infection control and decontamination service;
• The improvement of the quality of medical care and the promotion of the patient-oriented medicine;
• To protect the patient’s right-to be given the service in a clean and safe environment with clean hands;
• The promotion of the level of  epidemiological, the infection control and occupations by the elaboration of the standards;
• The promotion of developing legislative base in the point of epidemiology, the infection control and sanitary-hygienic issues;
• The promotion of  developing the clinical epidemiology and infection control specialist profession, the creation of the professional ethic norms;
• The elaboration of the contemporary decontamination concept for the further innovation into practice and development;
• The elaboration of the contemporary decontamination standards and regulations, the promotion of the innovation and the analysis and control of the obtained results;
• The preparation of the post-diploma epidemiology, the infection control and sanitary connected occupation and the elaboration of retraining programms and the promotion of their practical implementation;
• The elaboration of the plans of the scientific research, works and practical activities in the field of the epidemiology, the infection control and sanitary occupation and the coordination of Georgia’s population because of the improvement of the effectiveness of Georgia’s population’s medical service;
• Studying  the various worldwide countries experience in the epidemiology, the infection control and sanitary field and the recent achievement and the promotion of the innovation in our countries practice;
• The assessment of the necessary equipment and facilities and the propaganda considering the best international practice;
